Ice Cream? No - it's Gelato. Exactly what is GELATO?
Gelato is European style ice cream that has very little air whipped into it. The result is a higher quality dessert with a richer, creamier taste. Gelato has significantly less butterfat than American Style ice cream's typical 15% to 20% total fat. Our Gelato is made fresh daily - right on-site with fresh whole milk. Using whole milk results in a total fat content of only 2% – 8%. However, less fat does not mean less taste. Gelato is served slightly warmer than ice cream. While both gelato and ice cream are served well below the freezing temperature of 32 degrees Fahrenheit, gelato is served 10 to 15 degrees warmer than ice cream. Because it is less solidly frozen, gelato’s taste is further enhanced as it melts in the mouth - you can taste gelato’s full flavor immediately.

Our Gelato staff is trained by world-renowned Gelato expert, Luciano Ferrari of Italy.

Swirls is a unique concept, combining a fun family Caffé within an operating equipment showroom, where Gelato and many other delicious desserts are made right on-site.
While not a franchise, we offer the perfect environment to sit and dream about the possibility of creating your own caffé. We offer full design services, including all or part of what you see and experience at Swirls.
